How to Make a Starbucks Mocha at home | NO SYRUPS

While we're all safe inside our homes, unable to have our favorite barista-made drinks, it's a great time to learn to make our own specialty coffee drinks at home. Today's drink is a favorite of many, the Mocha. I like to think of mocha lattes as grown-up hot chocolate. Super cozy and decadent to enjoy as a treat. Since we aren't traveling out to buy ingredients, I used only ingredients that I thought most of us would have at home already. Enjoy!

Tried this myself and invested in a handy little milk frother from Target for $6 using soymilk and it worked GREAT! I used plain coffee in a French press (dark roast) and made sure it sat for a good amount of time, honestly does the trick for the mocha taste and now my boyfriend begs me to make this every Awesome awesome recipe!!!!

My nearly perfect Mock Café Mocha

In a 2 c. microwaveable measuring cup, combine:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 heaping teaspoon instant coffee (I use decalf but powered espresso would be better)
1/2 teaspoon Hershey's Dark chocolate cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon Ghirardelli !00% Dutch-Process cocoa (I got it at Wal-Mart)
1 Tablespoon powdered Stevia or Truvia

Heat in a microwave (3 min in a low powered microwave)
Stir/vigorously beat with a small wisk to combine and create some froth

Add whipped cream if desired & enjoy
