He goes by the name Grey Reverend and is amazing. His better versions of this song are gone from youtube. This is unfortunately the best one of him and this song.

That's funny - only having listened to the live CD, I always had this quite explicit image of a white "country" type of singer in my head, i.e. very white.

It's kind of like Bobby Caldwell in reverse.

This guy has a very warm voice, lots of heart in it.

I personally like Patrick Watson's version better, but I can't compare two stylistically different artists. They both perform beautifully in their own way. One of the most beautiful songs to ever be written though! <3
