Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny told supporters to take to the streets after he was arrested upon his return to Moscow. Also, Italy's prime minister is barely holding onto power, and China and the World Health Organization are coming under fire for not acting quicker to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, some tennis players aren't being allowed to leave quarantine to practice for the Australian Open because passengers on their flights tested positive for the coronavirus. CBS News foreign correspondent Ian Lee joins CBSN AM from London with those stories.

Sadly 30 days is enough time for them (Russian gov) to hurt him in jail. Sad

I wonder why Putin is so terrified of Alexey Navalny

I have to say...I don’t get it. He had an unfettered voice in the west. He had democratic countries supporting him. He had key politicians speaking up for him, challenging Russia..then he throws it all away to get imprisoned and most likely killed and have his voice silenced. Wish your station would explain the context.

President Navalny should receive full support from President Biden and NATO; we must end the Putin Crime Organization and the restore Russia’s Sovereign status.
