Every generation is becoming more talkative. My grandparents were more silent than my parents. My parents are more silent than me. I am more silent than my kids. My kids are non-stop talkative. We are losing the power of silence. People who live in the villages and rural areas are more silent than those who live in towns.

I've noticed that silence make's most people very uncomfortable. Most people try to fill silence with meaningless noise never shuting up. Im a quiet person who is comfortable with silence. So whenever I'm around people who can't stand silence, can't stand me.

Silence is the Eternal Stream of Speech


In “Talks” many quotes of the Maharshi can be found, which make clear, that silence is the actual, direct and eternal speech, which flows heart to heart.
