The new GT63 is cursed by its weight, but I think Mercedes was intentional with this move. They are leaning more to the Grand Turismo side than sports car. They are making this car more of a daily driver with a taste of a track car. This will piss people off but I’m curious what the next few versions of the GT will look like. Such as the black series of this new model.

the Benz has less power and more weight. I was actually surprised that it did keep up so well from the start. Likely the fact it has more weight might have been an advantage in the first meters ( depending on the ration of the additional friction capability of the tires and additional mass to move ). If you tune the Benz to close to 650 hp, the outcome would not be so different.
