Suspect of threat at Butte High School in custody

Butte-Silver Bow Law Enforcement announced that the suspect that made a Snapchat threat to Butte High School is now in custody.

The suspect generated the threat from out of state and meant to target a high school in Washington.

Students at Butte High School have been released for the day out of an abundance of caution after a threat to the high school was sent out on Snapchat, according to Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff Ed Lester.

Lester says there has not been an incident at the high school and all students are safe.
