Huge rallies in Myanmar for ninth day as army steps up arrests

Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets in Myanmar’s big cities for a ninth day of anti-coup demonstrations, as the country’s new military rulers rolled back laws protecting freedom and stepped up the arrests of politicians and activists.

The military is also bringing back repressive laws used by the previous military government – including a requirement for people to report overnight guests in their homes to authorities.

More than 380 people have been arrested since the military seized power in a coup on February 1.

Native people of Myanmar knows very well about Aun san su kchy, she married with Englishman and being a mather of english sons. She, s backing are Europe community . How many people protested when the genocide of the Rohingya people were carried out? Rather people of Myanmar supported the military, the Buddhist monks called it a necessary cleansing that needed to be done, Aung Sung Suu Kyi defended the military at the international criminal court. How does it feel now when your own freedom is taken away by those whom you defended ?
