A great many of these had shortwave on them and even though the SW band was more of an additional feature than a standard, I really enjoyed listening to Radio Australia and Radio RSA, and the BBC. Had a Toshiba and a Sanyo which picked up the SW band. But this set seems more like a huge hi-fi set of it’s time especially with those big three-way speakers. Telefunken was a very prestigious brand of it’s time and still is! Sweet 📻👍🏻‼️

Have you heard the JVC "Quintet" pc-5 or the JVC pc-6? I think it'll be pretty hard to beat anyone of those especially the Quintet...w/it's awesome sound quality and superior recording!

I have a small Boombox collection. The best sounding models of it are the Sanyo MX720LU and the Sharp GF 555.

The vu meters works only on cassette, not on radio or aux?

I had this, but mine had Dolby B and MPX -filter and had a setting for Metal Tapes.
