I think a core piece of what makes these videos entertaining is the combination of ritual with the unexpected. The episodes are extremely formulaic, but every individual component of that formula from the "I guess" onward has a chance to subvert that predictable formula. The fact that you know the ritual by heart primes your brain with an inherent comedic timing for each deviation, no matter how small. Anyway, thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
