Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Raid Mode - 'Rainbow' Rarity Weapon Farming

Farming for 'Rainbow' rarity weapons on Gauntlet VIII-02 on Code Red difficulty.

This is, in my opinion, the quickest and easiest level to farm. I haven't completed all levels on Code Red yet but it seems only the enemy level and wave composition changes with difficulty. The map layout remains the same.

The video starts with two failed runs then cuts to me finding a level 100 Bushido, which is a unique named Samurai Edge. Pretty sweet handgun but I can't see it replacing my level 100 Triple Shot.

Surely V-1 on code red would be easier? All 4 chests are in one room so you know at the beginning if you have them or not. Love the vid though.

Just a heads up - Today's patch has increased the difficulty. For Code Red, at least. Not sure about the others. I just did a couple of runs and every enemy was over level 100. Most were level 105 and a good 50% of them were elites. But it's still very easy and only adds about 20 seconds to a full run.

Try to farm in V-3 if I remember, because you can find all chest and if you don't earn what you want, give up and restart.

I could but it would be a short video. I haven't actually done a whole lot of farming as I got real lucky early on.

It seems, to qualify as Rainbow rarity, a weapon needs to be either a level 100 named variant (for example the Coffin Nail is a named variant of the P10 handgun) or level 100, tagged (Speed Load, Close Range, etc) and rare (Drake, Muramasa, etc).

One of my favorite weapons, a 6 slot, level 100 Magnum Model 329 (Speed Load), only qualifies as two and a half stars.

I can't stand this game because I farmed VIII-06 for 3 hours straight with another player and I got nothing but crap but guess what, all the things I got was black, yellow, green, blue, and red(no purple and rainbow) the red was nothing but parts no weapons. Some reason I still keep grinding.

Nack when this game was just 1 day out, I farmed on the RE6 stage where I was on some kind of shop and had to deal with waves of zombies...after 30 days of retries...I got nothing

i just got my first rainbow weapon after farming for a week.its a lvl 100 muramasa and i get it in lV-3.sadly it has 4 slots only

I just got to the code red difficulty a few weeks ago so lvl 105 is the only thing I've ever been exposed to. Has Code Red been "suggested level 90" from the start or is that a feature of the increased difficulty?

I hate this level though because of the damn Scagdeads. Pretty much any level with them on it is an automatic nope from me.

Farming all day and only got 2 reds and one purple. Never have seen a rainbow one must be my luck... Do you think that frequency depends if you play it on ps4 PS3 or xbox one? Or it's random. I heard about a bug on PS3 that gives you rainbow weapons if you farm the first 20 minutes after entering the game. Not sure if it's true....
