A beautiful mountain hike towards Mount Smolikas.
At a height of 2,637 meters above sea level, it is the highest of the Pindus Mountains, and the second highest mountain in Greece after Mount Olympus.
We started the climb, from Smolikas Alpine Hut, together with members of the Alpine Club of Patras, to the small alpine lake called "Drakolimni Smolika".
Then we continued the climb towards the summit. Although technically easy, it was demanding.
The 360 view at the top was impressive. with other peaks around the Pindus Mountains, up to Gramos and Nemercka mountain ranges in Albania.
