ROBT 303 - Linear control theory with labs - Lecture 05 - Part 02 - Closed-loop control systems - Disturbance rejection example 1 (Slide 25)

In this example, you will see how to find out the value of the steady-state error of a closed-loop system, for the disturbance input. If the steady-state error is zero, it means that the disturbance is perfectly rejected, otherwise, it has affected the response of the system. Two kinds of disturbance signal are considered in this example, step and ramp, and the type of the system is 1. Since the system is type-1, it rejects the step disturbance, and the steady-state error for the ramp disturbance is finite, as expected.
