Miss Emily, that was lovely, Mr. Armstrong would have loved it. Every time I would watch Louis Armstrong sing this song on TV or listen on the radio, it makes me cry, as knowing what all this great man had to endure but stayed kind, as seeing a world could be, makes it my most favorite song of thousands I have heard, in my years. Every time I got to see Louis Armstrong on TV, mostly playing his horn, I would stop anything to watch him. When he song this song, it did not make it in the U.S. but hit number 1 in UK singles chart twice, but never in the America. I read when it become digital by 2014, Louis Armstrong's 1967 recording had sold 2, 173, 000 downloads in the United States, for a song never a hit in America it has sold millions around the world, song my many artist and in many movies or shows, for Louis Armstrong being paid $250, to record the song.
