They don't convince themselves of the child's "illnesses". They know there is nothing wrong but they crave the attention a "sick" child gives them and they will do anything to get the attention. The child is nothing to them. 😢

She’s lucky her mom didn’t kill her first, her mom should have been investigated years and years earlier and convicted of several counts of battery against a minor for all the different medical procedures. Gypsy Rose should have ran away earlier, told police everything, and never come home.

The mom had her salivary glands removed, teeth removed, a G-tube placed, and put her through other horrifically needless medical interventions. The physicians that green-lit those interventions should have had their licenses revoked.

I think she doesn’t know what else to do. She needs money to live and she really doesn’t have any skills, a criminal record and she’s infamous. She can’t get a normal job. She might as well make money off that infamy.

There were no protections for her. She escaped extreme abuse. If you were held captive in someone's house, and killed them to get free, should you go to jail? No. Her mother conspired daily to hold her captive to her abuse, convincing entire communities and authorities, entrapping her daughter for years. Without planning Gyspy Rose would have never been freed. That's the problem with these types of abuse, there are no protections under the law, and if you go to the law, you won't get help. You'll get sent home, or held temporarily. But you won't be safe, and your abuser will find you eventually. It's very hard to prove, and the police don't have the time, don't care, and don't want to bother believing you.

My very first semester of nursing school they talked about this and how some nurses have this and purposely harm patients just to sace them and be rewarded. They said to drop the course immediately if you had any type of feeling of being rewarded or praised for becoming a healthcare provider, because that is not what its about. Sales is more suited for people craving praise and less people harmed

There are many many people who I don’t support having a platform but this girl is a grey area for me. She suffered torture; plain and simple. She was stripped of her hair, all her teeth, her dignity and her autonomy by the woman who more than anyone else was supposed to protect her along with medical “professionals” and others too concerned with their own egotistical agendas to intervene. I’m not saying she deserves to be put on a pedestal…after all she was involved in a homicide but when you have Epstein islanders getting praised and rewarded without any justice, part of me thinks give this girl her 15 minutes to cash in and rebuild her life

Mothers with that sickness are not convinced their child/grandchild is sick, they’re making them sick on purpose for the attention and/or money it gives them. It’s also sickening that she got so little time in prison for killing another person smh her own mother at that. She could have left, she didn’t have to resort to murder.
