In marineford everyone was invested in Luffy reaching ace. Marines, pirates and revolutionaries reffered to him as "straw hat" or "Luffy". Akainu was the only one who insisted on calling him "Dragon's son". Coming from such a formidable family and having conquerers haki is enough for akainu to want to kill him, but what if Akainu and dragon had a history? What if Akainu was in a position where he could have killed his best friend (dragon), but couldn't do it. This would go against his type of justice, and maybe that's why he was so adamant on making up for it by killing Luffy. Garp hates akainu, mainly for what he did to ace. But what if his hatred runs deeper, and Akainu almost killed his son? I wonder where Ohara would play into this, as it may serve as a catalyst for this falling out.

I’ve always wondered about how the system of the marines would change if the world government system was abolished. They do strive for justice and like stated are alot of people that are trying to do the best for the world and protect them, but they literally can only exist under a government. Get rid of that government and they essentially become a militia group that enforces martial law in the name of justice.

Nah it's no trying to make him look like a victim. Dude literally killed innocent people not because the government told him to but the simple fact that he wanted to at Ohara. Question: Should a 4090 be able to play games without the fans on. It was only running at 120fps and with bad lag spikes with no fan spin. It's done it a few times. So the admirals and garp are certainly far from being good people, because they actually know.

Garp refuses to be an admiral because he knows what the celestial dragons do, and he doesn't want to work for them, so they know, they've been to Sabaody.
So I do not feel for them and they shouldn't be counted among the good hearted marines who are being misled by the world government, because the admirals are the ones helping the world government rope in all these people, and cover up all these atrocities.


The only admiral I've seen do something about it is fuji, and he ain't doing enough.
