Hey there scooter enthusiasts! Welcome to Scooter Street! In this exciting video, we're going to take you through an exhaust fitting and de-restriction guide for the Piaggio Typhoon. Get ready to unleash the full potential of your ride!

We kick things off by showcasing the parts we'll be working on, including the exhaust and ECU. We guide you through the process of disconnecting the exhaust and making the necessary modifications to the ECU. We also delve into the transmission, clutch, and variator, providing tips and tricks along the way.

Next, we demonstrate how to prepare the exhaust before installation, ensuring all nuts and bolts are securely in place. We highlight the importance of proper positioning and tensioning for optimal performance.

As we assemble everything, we explain the reasoning behind our pen marks, making it easy to identify any loosened parts during visual inspections. Moving on, we discuss the emissions box and provide insights into how we enhance the airflow for better exhaust performance.

We then shift our focus to the carburetor and discuss the importance of checking the manifold, Reed valve, and Reed pedals for any cracks or damage. We guide you through fitting the exhaust body and adjusting the spacing for a perfect fit.

Hot dang, you all! This is almost exactly what I plan for my ET2 50cc this fall! The Wild Lion exhaust, rollers, clutch springs, derestriction, carb jet...plus a Malossi 70cc kit. I get so much out of watching your videos. I swear you folks have me believing I could actually do the work myself. Well, I'm gonna give it a shot...but I do have a talented backup in case I screw up! Thank you as usual...

Fantastic vid. I’m very new to the scooter community - I was gifted a second hand ‘17 typhoon 50 - apologies for the absolute numpty question but I’m told mine is two stroke. I see a seperate oil and fuel tank. Do you still need to use mixed two stroke fuel or use standard unleaded and they mix together somehow. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Very nice typhoon, and the exhaust is very pretty! I have a question - so, I have a 1st Gen. Zip, it has an brand new airsal sport 50cc ac cylinder, leovince TT handmade without restrictions, straight intake, carbon reeds, twin air filter. I bought a brand new Motoforce PHVA 17, 5mm, and only ran like it should with a 58 main jet, spark plug was coffee brown, but also had a lot of problems like starting, keeping idle, top end was stuttering. Tried a 62 main jet, and the plug was straight wet and all black. But, when I tried a Polini CP 17, 5mm carb, with an 83 main jet, which it still has, its running a bit lean, but also every other carb problem i had before dissapeared. Maybe you have any clue what has happened? Where would most likely the problem be?

i changed my exhaust and there is no gasket, but i can feel air going out of there. Do you think i should buy some gasket or i installed exhaust wrongly? i feel the scooter working more smooth than before but there is a little different smell than before from fumes

Hey, I commented on another video. I was trying to find my carburetor today on my piaggio typhoon 50cc, this exact model but I cant find it. Could you tell me where to find it so I can find out which carburetor it is?

I will ask u one more opinion. Im heavy person 115kg and living in town with lots of uphill-downhill roads. My Piaggio Typhoon with current setup is a bit struggle on hills so I decided last, 70cc investments.
Setup should be:

Piaggio Typhoon 2T - AC (2011)

*Exhaust Mallosi Wild Lion
*Malossi 70cc cast iron sport kit
* Mallosi Multivar 2000 +7.2gr rollers
* Dellorto 17.5 PHVA with 80 main jet for start
* Clutch Bell Mallosi wing bell ( im scared for oem overheating )
* Oem clutch with oem springs
* Torque Spring Mallosi Purple
* Oem Belt

I wonder will this setup ok, ( aka rollers, springs, jet) regarding im 115kg and I cant afford some better exhaust for now...
Im not interested to be fastest, i dont care for top speed. I just wanna solid start, better power, peacefull uphill driving, so i will not be a obstacle on road....😂

Thank you for

I have a 2018 Typhoon 50 4T-4V. Is there any mods I can do to improve speed or I am limited to use premium fuel?

Every piaggio/gilera i ever derestricted and put a malossi willion/polini original/gianelli go exhaust on, has needed around a 72 main jet.
Of course we also always remove the restrictor plate between the carb and the airfilter, the bronze one. Full derestriction

Hi i have the same piaggio. Fully deresteicted. 4g and 6g mix rollers. Cut and blocked the solenoid pipe and derestricted tecnigas silent pro exhaust. Typhoon goes around 40mph but im sure it should go faster. It goes a lil bit better downhill. Is there a chance that the ecu is restricted?

I'm looking for a wiring diagram for a 2018 2T Typhoon, my right hand brake handle does not turn on the brake light, anybody know where I could find one? Or preferably a complete workshop service manual?

Would deristricting the ECU be the same for my 2017 Aprilia SR 50 motard? it has the paggio 4T engine apparently, still trying to learn more about my sons scooter.

Hi, do you have such a MALOSSI DIGITRONIC CDI module? Such an exhaust pipe burned out in my case, it was used for 3 years, the fire was coming out. Replaced with LeoVince Touring.

Hey guys, have a similar engine. SR50 R Euro 4. Interesting to see how you guys did it. I've done the following and recorded 55mph downhill on GPS. I appreciate what you've done is a more Conservative derestriction though.

I currently have the following
- Standard 17.5mm Dellorto Carb PHVA
(restrictor pulled out @ 68 Main Jet Currently,
l'Il up this)
- Standard Airbox
- Leo Vince TT Exhaust (Derestricted)
- Malossi Euro 4 ECU
- Malossi Primary Gear Up Kit 14/39 (New gear
ratio is 0.0805)
- 4.8 Gram Rollers
- Unrestricted Variator Bush
- Polini Speed Drive Belt
- Standard Clutch, Springs, Contra Spring
- Standard Variator

I'm just about to put on a Malossi Cast Iron 70cc Sport cylinder to just prevent external factors such as wind and hills from dropping my speed as much. What would you recommend changing the jet to? Would a 72 be okay or would you start higher?

Love the channel guys, thanks for all the info, keep releasing videos!

HELP!!. Have a 2019 NRG for a few years now. it's to slow to ride. can't climb any hills. 45kph max if I'm lucky. 8k rpm max at full throttle on the center stand. I removed the carb restriction and put 4.8 rollers. de restricted variator bush. still super slow. What is the main thing holding this thing back?

Hi, I've just done the variator centre change myself but haven't disabled the ECU/CDI unit yet. Is it ok to use the scooter in this state until my mechanic is free?

Im working small changes on Piaggio Typhoon 50cc, E2 (2012)
Malossi Wild Lion exhaust, Malossi Red Sponge, 64 main jet, OEM Variator with 6.4 gram rollers, OEM clutch. Should I remove carburetor restriction? Thanks...
