In this video, we take a look at the all new 2024 Lexus GX550 Luxury+ that I had the pleasure of driving for the last week. I really enjoyed this vehicles powertrain. It has the 3.4L twin turbo V6 mated to a 10 speed transmission.

This is the same setup you will find in the new Tundra, Sequoia, and LX600. It is smooth and has plenty of power. As for the Luxury Features, this rig has massaging seats, glass pano roof, HUD, a massive 14" screen and more!

Those little lights are approximately called cornering lamps. These lamps were popular mostly on luxury and near luxury cars from the 1970"s to the early 2000"s.

Fricken beautiful in the best color. Practically cement gray.

Saw two new LC at my yota dealer today. They also had 30 new tundras and I think 12 new tacos.

All below msrp - except the LC.

I’d be quite happy to have both in my garage.

Appreciate the editing when you cut away seamlessly to show something that youre talking about thats not right in front of you. Im surprised others don't do this as much.

I agree with the 5-6 steps to get to the massaging seats. My dealer said you can use Lexus voice to activate them. Mine was supposed to be delivered July 1st but still waiting.
Also the luxury and luxury plus does have puddle lights they just don’t come on during the day.

Will probably “upgrade” my 2024 4Runner limited after 5-7 years.

Let this thing settle in, get those kinks ironed out, etc

Really loving my 4Runner and glad I went tried and true, battle tested, good for the long haul but there are certain things, mostly electronic, I wish were newer.

I love my GX Overtrail. I prefer it over the Luxury. And yes, the whole interior is really soft.

Wife currently has a 460 and has been waiting on the 550 since the announcement. Loves the exterior but went to the dealer to test drive it and was not a fan. She said the drivers side area felt smaller and the interior looked like a downgrade from her 460. She drove the 600 and loved it. Going with that instead

One of the cool things is that Land Cruiser in the other market do have ventilated seats for the rear seats and none of the gxs in the world have that feature

Agree on the two-tone roof and all black wheels. Those wheels are nice but they actually at first glance seem like aftermarket wheels.

Absolutely loving my OT+ There are some things I could nit pic with (lack of 3 zone, roof vents, digital rear view mirror to name a few) but those issues were not a deal breaker for me. Plus, it looks fantastic in nori green with two tone black roof. I agree Jon. They should offer the two tone on the other models. It is a difference maker!

Thanks so much for the review! Actually one of the best that I’ve seen. I’m in the market and have been looking at the two models you mentioned!

Thanks for the great, thorough review as I anxiously await delivery of mine, almost exactly this one but bench middle seat.

Love the 550s, especially the Overtrail. The 2 tone, desert sand with black roof is insane with black wheels.

Nice vehicle design and color but those rims just dont cut it, oversized and busy looking (personally speaking). 😊

It'll be a way better buy when you can get them used or CPO 3-4 years from now. Buying new makes zero financial sense. Not to mention it's never the best to buy the first year of a new gen because they usually address all the minor issues with the following model years.

The first thing I thought when I got in was it's pretty small for 80K+
