this song... it's about knowing that the one you're in love with is never going to love you back. you try to love the next best thing and keep your eyes closed, but it just doesn't work. in your heart you still see him. you want him. you can never see anything, but him (or her). in your heart, you know that it isn't him. and you keep trying to replace him, but it never works. there is always an empty space in your heart. and even if you keep your eyes closed, it isn't him.
