BORDER
At around 1 pm on Tuesday, the units of the Azerbaijani armed forces launched another provocation in the direction of the eastern border of Armenia, firing on the Armenian positions.
As of 2 pm Tuesday, the situation at the eastern direction of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border remained tense.
The adversary was using artillery means, armored equipment, and firearms of various calibers.
The Armenian side has resorted to equivalent actions. As a result of intense exchange of fire, the adversary has a loss of armored equipment, the Armenian defense ministry reported.
Meanwhile, according to unofficial reports, today the Azerbaijanis captured 6 Armenian soldiers. The report was confirmed by the sources of the Armenian defense ministry, but there is still no official confirmation. The Azerbaijani defense ministry is also reporting the capture of 6 servicemen.
OSCE
The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group released a statement over the tense situation on the border.
“The Co-Chairs view with deep concern recent incidents in the region, including those along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. The Co-Chairs call on the sides to take concrete steps to de-escalate the situation immediately. The Co-Chairs also urge the sides to refrain from inflammatory rhetoric and provocative actions, and implement in full the commitments they undertook under the November 9 statement and other jointly agreed ceasefire arrangements," the statement said.
PARLIAMENT
At Tuesday’s Armenian parliament sitting, it was decided to convene a closed session today to urgently discuss the matter—tabled by opposition "Armenia" Faction MP Aram Vardevanyan—on clarifying the fate of Armenian prisoners of war, hostages, missing persons, and other detainees in Azerbaijan.
The parliament speaker Alen Simonyan said it was proposed to hold this session behind closed doors. The MPs accepted this proposal, with 61 votes in favor.
However, only the MPs of the majority “Civil Contract” Faction were attending Tuesday's NA sitting. The opposition "Armenia" and "With Honor" Factions did not take part in the voting, as they have boycotted today's sitting of the National Assembly.
PUTIN, MACRON
Presidents of Russia and France Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron discussed the situation regarding the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“Russia, as Vladimir Putin stated, will continue to take actions that will help stabilize the situation and consistently implement the trilateral agreements reached through the mediation of Russia,” the Kremlin’s statement reads.

Meanwhile, another pregnant woman in Armenia has died from the coronavirus. The woman had concomitant illnesses. She died on the 11th day after giving birth.
Doctors assess the health condition of the baby born by C-section as satisfactory.
