I was not prepared for the Formula 1 imitation. 😂

From a comedy music encyclopedia I once had: "Why does a symphony orchestra have so many violins? To increase the probability that one of them might play on pitch."

That's so much fun. I have always thought the piano is one of the easiest instruments to play at a very basic level. You can just sit down and play a tune if you are shown some notes. Whereas there are technical difficulties just making a half decent sound with both string and wind instruments. However, all instruments are very difficult to master and achieve a professional level. I don't think there is any easy path - it just takes talent and a huge amount of practice over years.

The piano is possibly the easiest instrument to play at a basic level...

...which is why it has some of the most difficult and intricate compositions.

The one you don’t play is more difficult.

Comparing percussion to strings is amusing. I play piano and my daughter plays violin and we would have a similar debate. Thanks for the fun video.❤

I know that Victor Borge, originally a viola player before piano, said the difference between a violin and a viola is that the viola will burn longer. So, in this case, I guess the difference is that the piano will burn MUCH longer.

Violin is just harder in almost every way (and I say this as a pianist). That being said, since piano is chordal, it takes way more music theory to be able to improvise and write for piano.

As a child I started both. My problem with the piano was coordinating my left hand with my right - playing one hand was possible to a point, but my music teacher gave up on me after about a month. The violin - two lessons were enough to convince me that I would never get it right, it was far too intricate. The most progress that I made was with the cello. I also had a brief experience with a clarinet and that I would have liked to continue.

0:31 bro don't even need to play the piano anymore, it just plays itself in his presence.

"vibrato on the violin requires soft wrists"

I guess the difficulty is the piano is to coordinate between left and right hands and reading different notes for both. Violin mostly is to get the right note by touch and experience. That comes after the weight of each.

Now you need to try bowing the strings inside the piano. Pianolin!

For me is the same because I can´t play one or another and, of course. I admire a lot a great pianist or a great violinist. Both are my favorite instruments. Only for listen, unfortunatelly. Grettings!
