Use masking or painters tape to hold the paper down. Less buckling and bleeding under the scotch tape.

Can you give some tips about how to do the detail lines on the first picture? Yours look so realistic and I've tried really hard to copy your technique but mine just look like random drawn on lines. They don't look remotely realsitic!
