The Maths Prof: Turning Points

In this lesson I show you how to find the coordinates of a turning point...

Step 1: Substitute in the coordinates given to find the equation of the curve
Step 2: Differentiate to find an expression for the gradient of the curve
Step 3: Put the gradient equal to zero and solve to find the x coordinate
Step 4: Substitute the x coordinate back into the equation of the curve to find the y coordinate

Easy peasy! 🤗
