It's his backup singers helping, the dude ain't young anymore and has been through hell with his vocal chords. Saw him a year ago and he put everything he had into doing the best he could, which sounded pretty damn good.

I think it's not a backing track but his backup singers. Even in the 1980s there were many performances where he didn't sing "Shake me" and left it to his bandmates.

No he isn't. You know what backup singers are? Those might be recorded, but we were front row just a few months ago, and this man IS SINGING his ass off!

On the record he did both the lead vocals and the backing vocals. Impossible for him to do both as they lap. His at least singing the lead part. In my opinion, why bands should write songs together then record as you would do it live. Studio magic is impossible to reproduce in a lot of cases. I'm in the "no backing tracks" crowd myself unless it like an intro to something like Symphony of Destruction.

Actually, it ain’t a backing track because there was a point in the show I went to with him and Winger where he stopped the show because he couldn’t sing anymore, plus he has backup girl singers and his band is singing too

Yes, the background vocals are tracked. He is singing the lead lines. You can hear it case when he pulls the mic away at the end of the line.

He is Singing. Backup or other singers are just louder and better.
Does sound like hes singing over a recording.
Either way the Fans Get a Good Show.
Its not like these guys arent old.

It's his backup singers man come on. I have followed Tom Keifer since 1987. I can name every single Tom Keifer solo song. He is as true to himself as he is to the fans. In fact in 2012 when he was forming the Tom Keifer band he wanted backup singers that has scratchiness in their voices and one being Savannah, his wife. He wanted scratchiness with vibrato. You also have Tony higbee singing back up the new Drummer I can't think of his name . But this is so ridiculous. He just played Ashland Kentucky where my bands kind of rules and I know the sounds people because I play there myself and I would have already known if he uses backing tracks I'll just put it that way.😊

I disagree. You can hear the lack of his voice compared to the ones where you see him sing. His backing vocalists are still there but his voice is absent. I actually played a show with Keifer once. Definitely wasnt using tacks then and he was sick as hell with the flu. So i cant imagine hes using them either either.

I saw him in OKC on 2 nd row and no bullshit tracking Live and loud. His band has 7 members and they all sing. So tell us what you have written and recorded ???🎉

He's Trying To Get the Audience to SING THE HIGH PARTS, That He Knows He can No Longer Do Himself. Everyone Gets Older, Everyone Grows Older, & Everyone Has To Come to the Realization, That They Are No Longer The Young Stud They Were Over 25 Years Ago. Some Musicians Take It Well, While Others, Try & Pretend That They are Still The Young, Powerhouse Of The Past, Leading To An Embarrassing Moment of Self Realization.
