Sir, I think the scheme of question 1 makes senses
The relation "father of, f" means the father of object = image.
Which can write as f(x)=y [x is object, y is image]
So based on this concept of function, the domain is all the possible values of x, which is the 4 people there.
I also got tricked by the question at the start(by thinking f as "x is father of y"), but if we convert all the textual languages into mathematics language, it will be much clearer than arguing the word.
