This HETRE designed Mignon Wishes book is so beautifully crafted and masterfully hand-made, that it's hard to believe it's only 5x6 cm, making it quite possibly the most adorable, yet functional sketchbook ever! Let's see it!

Being a fan of Fabriano paper from Italy, one of the oldest manufacturers dating back to the 1200s and favored by Raphael, DaVinci, and Michelangelo, I decided after a big project to treat myself to the real deal. So, I ordered this beautiful little Mignon Wishes book right from Fabriano in Italy, along with two other products, which I'll share in upcoming videos.

This is the kind of book every artist should keep in their studio. Not for serious work or studies, but as a personal journal to their heart and creative spirit. To create in whenever that moment strikes and what's left behind is a memory of that moment in time, to reflect on and smile, cry, roll our eyes, or simply shake our head in remembrance.

I love this little book because I know what it will be 10 years from now.

The HETRE designed Mignon Wishes Book • $18 USD (from Fabriano Boutique)

This tiny Barbie book is adorable. Obviously very well made. Thank you for sharing this. I would not even know it exists if not for you sharing your purchase with us. I enjoyed seeing your old sketch books and the evolution of your artistic journey. God bless you and your family.

Just as I was scrolling through Fabriano's page, checking for the Vergatone Sketchbook.
Thou not cheap including the shipping, ( even thou I'm from Europe) I found it on cultpens.
Will definitely purchase one.

But first the Vergatone.

Despite its small size, you didn't seem cramped when drawing, perhaps because it seemed to lay remarkably flat. GREAT video! Now I want one!

I agree, quite cute, well made. And I understand the idea behind it. That said, I think it is impractically small. For doodling purposes I would prefer something less high end, and a bit bigger. The eighteen bucks (plus shipping) this tiny book costs, I think I would rather spend on something more functional. But I wouldn't mind getting it as a gift😉
Btw I quite like fabriano paper too.

I've somewhat recently fallen down the paper rabbit hole and an oddball favourite of mine is my Daler Rowney Simply Pocket Sketchbook hard cover ref: 482100355 sketch books. I looked EVERYWHERE to find paper just like what is in those, and I have finally found a larger sketchbook with paper that does the same thing. This paper has a similar texture to newsprint, so when I use alcohol markers on it, they blend AMAZINGLY. The difference is, they also don't pill or shred the paper at all. I have scrubbed and scrubbed a blend into the paper and it doesn't budge! The sad thing about the bigger skethbook I had found, with what could quite possibly be the same paper, is that it was given to me by a person I met in the hospital during my last 3 week stay, 2 years ago. He not only had cancer, but his health was drastically declining while I watched. It was heartbreaking, he was so kind. He even really wanted to give me an antique drawing table and I was devistated by the fact that I just don't have the room for such a thing.

Anyway, he told me who made the sketchbook he had given me, but it was so long between him having given it to me, and my finally trying the thing out, that I just don't remember whom he said it was made by. On the plus side, I have this beautiful memory of him, and the exact thing I had spent so long looking for. ♡

I'll miss him. Unfortunately I can no longer remember his name, but I do know that in his prime, he worked for the Tiffany's of Canada (Birks) designing cufflinks and pins. Chances are, if you graduated nursing within a certain time period, in Ontario, he designed your graduation pin ^-^.

Hallo I hopped as German I get it cheaper, but if I order it direct it would me also cost over $24 with post and packing, this is me too much. Possibly I not need such heavy paper my pencil and fine liner drawings. The idea with a small book I found great.
