On a 10 year old Dell PC with an Intel I7-4770, 16 gb ram, PCI-E 3.0, and which came stock with a Radeon HD 7570 (1 GB DDR5 RAM), the 6500 XT was the best performing and also compatible upgrade for us, as we're looking to get a few more years gaming out of the family PC. It's the most powerful 6-pin power socket GPU out there, which is all that our PSU could handle. According to techpowerup, its a 927% increase in performance compared to our previous GPU.

Got a like-new used 6500 XT for $90 a year ago, and my kid plays just about everything quite well on it.

Yeah, our PC is a dinosaur. I didn't want to buy a new mobo, PSU, or any combo of parts. This was a cheap upgrade that was reasonable for now.

it is NOT a bad gpu, I have it in 2024 and it works well for what I do, its not the best GPU in the world but its not terrible. its not like a gt 1030 or gt 710. and its a MASSIVE upgrade from the intel hd 630 graphics I was on for nearly 6 years. its not a bad budget gpu at all. I don't understand the hate.

did you know you can use AMDs Virtual Super Resolution and run this card in 1440p on a 1080p monitor and then use FSR performance mode to boost fps?

The HATE we can see in this video and the FRAMES this card provides for the BUCKS (£60-70 on eBay) isnt in synchron with the REALITY. This video shouldnt be recorded and uploaded wasting data on youtube/cloud servers... Amen

The 6500XT is only $130 where I live and performs really well in CS2 & Fortnite (1080p low-medium), but I wouldn't trade my A750 for it, not even for the 6650XT.

You can get the 8 gig rx 6500 xt new for newegg for 125 bucks which is a big price difference than what your talking about. Looks like a decent card for that price.

I got the Sapphire RX 6500 XT 8GB ITX a few days ago and I'm running Cyberpunk 2077 at ±80fps 1080p FSR Quality and AFMF

I went from a gtx 950 which was ok, mainly cause I could record while gaming, but I am happy 3 years ago I picked up a 6500, it's horrible for recording cause you have to rely on cpu.
Gaming it's alright if you want 1080p 60fps which I'm fine with for these newer titles, and I can manage to get it up to 120 to 144 in games where I need it.
It's not horrible by any means compared to my 950, but in general, I wish I got something rhat could atleast keep up with my ps5

Lol running Cyberpunk at ultra is pointless on a low end card. Run this on medium and youd have seen a massive increase with the overclock.

Ive got this MSI mech 2x oc version, and I can tell that THE WHOLE TEST AND CONCLUSION ABOUT THIS CARD IS MISLEADING AND FAKE. This fella need to get a grip. Show me just 1 energy efficient GPU for £60 (eBay) with long time game and driver support! Most people playing on UHD monitors these days which is easy to handle for this card. Be realist and dont lie to yourself... and dont lie to us

Funny the 8gb version of the 5500xt is noticably better than the 4gb version of both the 5500xt and 6500xt. If your at this price point go 5500xt 8gb or save up a bit more for the 6600.

why do people compares new cards with 3 years warranty with old cards without warranty a 1660 super will cost you if it fails. but a new card will not as it has a warranty. add that warranty in price too. And i don't know about you people but in India i can only buy a brand new 6500xt and not a 1660S.
