The Dimplex flames look more natural and organic. the Napoleaon flames look like blocky confetti ribbons and are more squarish.

I’m thinking about this application for Florida. I don’t really need the heat but like the light and display what do u recommend? Can there be no heat when not needed?

Appreciate the review, from price point of view, I can see Alluravision is almost $1000 less than dimplex, do you know what contribute this difference? feature wise, they looks very similar to me (dimplex even has less flame color)

Trevor -- you said that both can be wired in 220V to produce about 10K BTU's, but i could not find any reference to 220V on the Napolean site. Is there a different 100" model for the 220V implementation? It looks like the NEFL100FH only refers to 110V and 5, 000 BTU. Thanks for a great comparison!

Have you come across any issues with the dimplex xl ? Mine seems to have a yellow blur in the reflective glass that’s doesn’t go away.. any idea what it could be?

Pebbles and rock looks WAY much cooler! The wood looks too old fashioned and cheap.
