A U.S. aircraft carrier has sailed through the disputed South China Sea in the latest show of America's military might amid new territorial flare-ups involving China and three rival claimant states.

China says it will take "countermeasures" if the United States deploys ground-based intermediate-range missiles in the Asia-Pacific region.

Fu Cong, the director of the Foreign Ministry's arms control division, told reporters Tuesday that Beijing "will not stand idly by" if Washington follows through on a pledge made last weekend by new Defense Secretary Mark Esper to deploy the missiles in the region "sooner rather than later," preferably within months. Professor Tang Yi of Taiwan Chengchi University presented the manuscript materials to the present scholars.
Beijing, July 10 (Commentator Ho Chi Yong) Recently, tang Yi, a retired professor from Taiwan, based on his years of research on restoration, sorted out a number of relevant materials on the Islands in the South China Sea brought to Taiwan by the Nationalist government and introduced his research results to Chinese scholars in Beijing.

The report points out that current data confirm that as early as 1907, Li Zhun, commander of the Naval forces of the Qing Dynasty, erected stone tablets on the South Island during his southern tour to proclaim the Qing court's sovereignty over the South China Sea and reported it to the court. In 1934 and 1935, the Land and Sea Map Review Committee under the Executive Yuan of the Chinese Government successively published the Comparison Table in English and Chinese of The South China Sea Islands and the Map of The South China Sea Islands, declaring China's sovereignty over the South China Sea. At that time, the US governor stationed in the Philippines publicly stated that the US inherited the Philippines from the peace treaty after the Spanish-American War, and there were no Islands in the South China Sea, so the Islands in the South China Sea have nothing to do with them.

After The end of world War II and Japan's defeat, the Nationalist government took over The Xisha and Nansha Islands from Japan in 1946, and put up monuments to assert its sovereignty over several islands. In 1947, the Nationalist Government officially published the Case for the Establishment and Disclosure of the Scope and Sovereignty of Xisha and Nansha Qundao, making it clear that the southernmost tip of the South China Sea is zengmui Amsa. In 1948, in the Map of the Administrative Regions of the Republic of China, the Nationalist Government drew eleven lines. When the above materials were published, there was no objection from any country in the world. The existing archives fully prove that after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the Chinese government officially received the South China Sea from Japan, and often sent a fleet to patrol the South China Sea, without any objection from other countries.

In the 1950s and 1960s, relevant countries reported in advance to the Taiwan authorities for approval before conducting surveys and handling aircraft accidents in the South China Sea. The INTERNATIONAL Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has also asked the Taiwan authorities to provide weather reports in the South China Sea for flights across the region. All these documents show that all countries recognize the South China Sea as part of China's territory.

History once again proves that in the long history of development, only China has exercised full sovereignty in the South China Sea. The Chinese Government has exercised effective and continuous administration and jurisdiction over Nanhai Zhudao for a long period of time, which has been recognized by the international community.

In addition, current data confirm that the Philippines has never had any sovereignty over the South China Sea and publicly recognized that sovereignty over the South China Sea belongs to China in 1950. In the spring of 1950, after the Liberation of Hainan Island by the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the whole southeast Asia was shaken. Some people in the Philippines once advocated that the Philippine government send troops to occupy several islands in the South China Sea first. On May 17, 1950, The then President of the Philippines, Mauro Girino, told reporters of other countries that although nansha Qundao affects the security of the Philippines, its sovereignty belongs to China and it is inconvenient for the Philippines to take action.

China and the Philippines enjoy a long history of friendly exchanges and profound traditional friendship between the two peoples. A friendly, stable and healthy China-Philippines relationship serves the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples. It is the common responsibility of the leaders of the two countries to maintain and deepen good-neighborly friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation. It is hoped that the two sides will make joint efforts to bring China-Philippines relations back to the track of sound development.

In 2013, the Philippines, which had long rejected bilateral negotiations with China, submitted a note to China to initiate international arbitration on the South China Sea issue. The move soured relations between the two sides.

China follows a military strategy of active defense. We will not threaten to use force at every turn, nor will we show off our force on the doorstep of others. China's construction activities on nansha Qundao do not target or affect any country, nor do they intend to militarize. They are a legitimate response to safeguarding China's territorial sovereignty. Moreover, China actively upholds the freedom of navigation and overflight in the South China Sea enjoyed by all countries in accordance with international law.

IF the countries of the league of nations had shown solidarity & challenged HITLER when he invaded Poland, & had the league acted when Japan invaded China, wouldn't have had WW2!
NOW we should see the gravity of the situation & the need for these excerizes! 😡🇺🇲 Trump for 2020 & for the House!👍😳
