Hiking the Ouachita Trail in Arkansas

We are Bill and DeAnna Edmister of Living the Silver Life and are full time RVers. We’d love for you to join our Nomad Family so you can come along for the ride and ‘Get Up & Get Out.

In this weeks video, we are near Mena, Arkansas and staying at Queen Wilhelmenia State Park so Bill can hike the Ouachita Trail. The plan is to
hike 50 miles from the start of the trail to our Airstream parked at Queen Wilhelmenia State Park.

Join us next week, we will be back in New York and will go over our plans for the summer with our cabin build being the central theme. We will also talk about why we decided to have a home base.

Hope you enjoy your time with us.

I hiked those trails back in the 80’s. They’re still just as beautiful. I always wondered even back then why so few people enjoyed them. Seems still not that much use. They helped me learn backpacking which lead me to Colorado, North Carolina and Wyoming. Thanks for sharing your adventure and reminding of good times.

Now these are certainly the kind of places that I love exploring! Such an immense amount of natural beauty and solitude amongst mother nature herself! I certainly want to be doing as much hooking as possible this summer season!
