Hello, first of all, take it easy. I have MKS Gen L V1.0. I want to connect TMC2209 to this motherboard. Other than the example in this video, is there anything else important that I should do?
Thank you from now.

Hello Makerbase team. To get it to work you have to get the good combination between hardware and software. There is no problem with the board that is nice and working well. I found the solution that could interest some others. My configuration is MKS GEN L 2.1/ MKS TMC2209 V2.0 and Marlin 2.XX bugfix. Visual Studio as compiler. My jumpers were at the right place : position 3 as documented plus X min for sensorless. I finally found the source of this error message that can be confusing : there is a "bug" with Marlin that is linked to the startup procedure. I mean you have to start your PSU (12V or 24v) and after that you can connect the USB to the PC . Doing that there is no more error. M122 code give status oK. Everything is fin, smooth and silent... After some hassle the solution was so simple (as usual):).

How do you make UART mode work on an Arduino? (Not 3D printer) The TMC2209 V2.0 from Makerbase does not read/write on UART pin (PDN_UART). Why is it connected to 0 ohm resistor R8? I have a 1k ohms resistor between TX/RX as per the datasheet.

I installed the tmc2209 on the 4 axis and it's set (Driver Current)
x: 800
y: 800
z: 800
E1: 800
And the driver ref v I put 1.25 is correct?
Note: They are moving very fast and making noise.

Why does my heated bed not work ... I have thermal protection Defined for both the Heated Bed and Extruders and turned off the Defined laser and heated chamber. Using V2.1 MKS Gen L and Marlin 2.0 bug fix with TMC2209 V2 drivers - Yet in the MARIN BUILD it lists a Cartesian (Not Heated) ... I must be missing something somewhere

Is the mks gen l v2.1 compatible with other brands and models of tmc drivers? I have the bigtreetech tmc2130 SPI drivers

Hi,
If not to use the sensorless, should I use 3.3v or 5v in Sgen_L v2.0 and TMC 2209 ?

Why do you suggest 16 bit microsteps as opposed to 64 bit microsteps? Is it too much for ATMega2560? Just curious.

Sorry, but will the sensors make a difference on the tevo tarantula printer for the mks sgen vl1.0 32-bit card?

I am lost. When reading the SGEN L manual (called datasheet) on the github, it says absolutely no jumpers under the driver for TMC2209. (page 43), but jumpers installed for XUART just beside the driver. In this video, it shows no jumpers on the XUART connectors beside the driver, but a jumper under the driver. As both sources seems to be official, which one should I trust?

здравствуйте, какой перемычкой задается адресс по uart tmc2209?

First congratulations on the content. If I just go to that part "sensorless-homing set (take x axis as example)" and do not enable the sensors, can I only do this part and leave the voltages as they are correct? And the code part is just doing the same for the x, y and z axis correct? Thanks

Hi, I upgraded to mks gen 21 board this time. I wonder what settings are needed to use atx psu.

its the same method for tmc2209 v1.2 (es:bigtreetech) for Mks Sgen L? Thanks :)

Good evening. I'm having troubles configuring my MKs Gen_L V1.0 mother to use with TMC2209 drivers. I got 4 MKS 2209 V2.0 drivers, and set them up as video indicates (first leaving 3 jumpers on, then disconnecting the right one under each driver). Then modify voltages for 1v X axis, 1.2v Y axis, 1V Z axis, and 1.2 E1 axis (Extruder). Then, calibrate steps/mm on each axis usigno the formula indicated on manual (360/1.8)* 16 / X. I have 2 ACME screws each one for X and Y axis, with 8mm lead each one, and 2 acme screws for Z axis, with 2mm lead each one, working together., so, the set was (400, 400, 1600, 94) on each driver (X, Y, Z, E1). When defined the name of the driver (TMC22090), system took the reference as an UART enabling order, which is wrong, cause this mother model has no UART connection. Then changed it back to the original A4988, but still works wrong. The symptom is a loud noise on X and Y axes, with lost of steps, meaning that bed and hotend misses their positions, making impossible to use the printer. Would you kindly help me to define which other changes must I do on config files? Thanks in advance.

Hey!
I bought the MKS Gen L v2.1 board with the TMCs2209 on Aliexpress. I already put Marlin 2.0.9, but I have two extruders in my printer. When I put the second extruder to heat, the fans are turned on and the extruder doesn't heat up. Do you know what it could be? any pin configuration? Thank you!

On the MKS SGEN what do I jump for GND and what for VCC_IO? There are three columns of pins under the stepper driver. Do I jump the right most two pins for ground? Do I leave the right most two pins open for ground? Do I jump the right most two pins for VCC_IO? Do I jump the right most two pins for VCC_IO?

Excuse me, I bought a MKS Robin e3D but it does not contain eeprom on the screen selection and I cannot save the adjustments . It does not allow me to install Marlin. I have viewed many videos, and my compilation is a success. but the board does not detect marlin or the actualization of the frimeware. I would appreciate your help very much.

Hi, how can I setup sensorless homing on the mks Robin e3? Where should I place the jumpers?
