Portal Beta - GLaDOS Battle September’ish 2006

Welcome to the September(ish) 2006 versions of the GLaDOS escape battle sequence. This ending was reconstructed by the awesome wolfcl0ck to how the ending of the game played out at this point in development. You’ll notice that it is quite similar to how the ending played out during December 2006, but is missing parts such as the piston hallway, and the room of turrets that eventually fills with liquid Portal.

The ending shown here is referred to as the Xen ending as the skybox right at the end is actually supposed to be the Xen skybox. Seemingly implying that your Portals accidentally opened a gateway to Xen, or that Aperture itself was set in Xen or had some deeper connection.
