RITES OF PASSAGE BY WILLIAM GOLDING BOOK REVIEW

Yes, this isn’t a review of Lord of the Flies - apparently Golding wrote other books, who would’ve known!

Nevertheless, Golding won the 1980 booker prize with his seafaring and sealegged book “rites of passage”.

Just reading this atm. There is a lot of humour and cheek in his letters, but encased in the vernacular of a very upstanding and well educated gentleman of the time. It takes a bit of getting used to, and I can see that there might be a double edge of spite becomingmore apparent. Golding was clearly a versatile and brainy geezer
