This update to Melon Vault splits the map into two parts to help with performance on rigs with lower video memory. It also brings compatibility up with current versions CustomMaps, ModThatIsNotMod and Melon Loader. Please back up any current mods and try ONLY using the included mod set before reaching out for support.

Melon Vault: Showdown is Part 1 of a Boneworks Custom Map Campaign by GreasedScotsman, with amazing art by TabloidA and Maranara. It clocks in at roughly two hours of gameplay for first-time playthroughs and features a full and sprawling story, puzzles, enhanced combat sequences and enemies that should challenge most Boneworks veterans, new physics interactions, unique movement, custom NPCs and a custom soundtrack.

Please do NOT bug SLZ members or the official SLZ discord with questions about this map, game mods or other custom content. This map is not officially affiliated with SLZ in any way.

Q: When I die and respawn, I appear under the map and fall forever. Why?

A: An update to ModThatIsNotMod breaks Melon Vault's Checkpoint code. Please follow install instructions that recommend you backup your current mods and then only use the files included in the Melon Vault zip file.

- Fixed blown out lighting at the end of the Fan Swing section.
- Potential fix for the rare occasion that the finale did not trigger upon boss death

Discovered this a few months ago and finally got around to playing it. It's frickin amazing! So much more challenging than the original campaign, in terms of combat and platforming. Not to mention the addition of stealth, new enemies & weapons. This was a blast to play and definitely gave me a sense of danger the original campaign never did. Thanks so much for making this!

Hey, loving the music in the mod! Just beat the whole thing, great stuff. I lost interest in BONEWORKS after beating the campaign (games like Blade and Sorcery just have way more mods) but Melon Vault Showdown brought me back for good reason. Can't wait for MV: Emancipation!

As a seperate note, do you have a link to Bonepick (the theme in the armoury, as listed in the credits?) I can't seem to find it here on YouTube with the rest of the soundtrack

hey you might be able to upload it to the thunderstore by breaking up the mod into pieces and uploading each piece or breaking up each level / NPC / content (etc. ) and uploading them onto a seperate mod

Are there any instructions on how to defeat the final boss? i don't know what to do. so far the best custom map i have ever played in boneworks

I bounced off of this HARD. Maybe it gets more interesting further in, but I was finding the platforming obnoxious, then got stuck dying over and over to the first nullmen ambush because I was completely lost and one is only given a single pistol mag. I finally jumped my way over to the crane, but finding out that it's ultra-slippery by going careening off of the side while pushing the other direction made me decide that if that was the level of cruelty necessary to make this "more challenging, " I'm out. Give me some ACTUAL challenge, don't just make the game engine fight me harder than normal.
