The wife and I picked up a pair of VariDesk 60x30s over the last year and they are definitely one of those 'how did we do it before now' items you don't think you'll use but end up loving in short order items. One came out to my workshop and makes all kinds of projects easier when you need a few inches here and there but don't want to break out a hoist or rig something from the ceiling. Also being built like a Yeti (me, but the desk is stout, too), it's the only surface in our house that can change on the fly to accommodate my height, which is definitely a feature I wish I could carry around a magic stick to fix.
For a furniture item that wasn't meant to be a workbench directly (at least how I use them), it never ceases to amaze me how much punishment it can take. Then again, moving them around is like handling an old side-by-side refrigerator and an event you want to minimize, because they are built like tanks.
Having a PC in the underside seems really cool, maybe even ideal for half the year when you want a space heater aimed at your crotch. 😁 "The power of the sun in the lap of my, err, Johnson Valley".

the nice thing about a pc case sit/stand desk is that its venn diagram intersects with most sit-stand use cases either way

If THAT is considered "rigid" compared to other sit/stand desks, I'm glad I haven't made the leap over to one. Even that amount of wobble would drive me insane.
