2:55 Wait, what? "If the seed germinates it won't have anything underneath it to root into"? The covering is on the top, not the bottom. Covering is better, but the seeds aren't floating in the air.

If you catch it before the grass is completely dead you can get it to come back using liquid humate and gypsum. This does work. The grass will start to turn grayish before it is yellow and if you catch it then it can come back.

'Dog rocks' that look like coal bought from any good pet shop. Put rocks in pots water bowl and it will prevent rather than having to cure!
