I met him and he was very nice, and spoke to my wife and I for About 4 mins, as a teenager I loved him more than any other singer even Elvis. In 1957 he was vote in all the UK record papers the Worlds Number One singer. Remember those summer evenings hearing songs like Wonderful time up There, Remember your mine, and Love Letters in the Sand and so many more. A great man and Star.

This song came out on the AFKN (Armed Forces Network Korea) in 1958 when I was a high school senior in Seoul, Korea. It was before Beatles and we were split between Pat and Elvis (I'll be home vs. Jailhouse Rock) and lo Pat won over Elvis in those days. I love Pat's April Love and Love Letters in the Sand as well.
