I do both, I type things down first to make sure I get all the information, then while doing revision I do written notes and diagrams that I add onto my online notes, and then I have both versions accessable to me at any point in time. I also have many apps disabled so I am more focused.

Take notes with computer, write them down on paper when studying. You’ll memorize 95% of the stuff you write down this way

I understand both sides of this situation. However, I seem to retain information better when doing it on computer. This is because I don't even have to look at the keyboard. Making my memory on the keyboard correlate with the new information. If anything switching tabs while thinking of the info, especially when it's a game, helps so much because I remember it with that exact moment I'm playing the game. All in all, the human brain is a wonderful thing that can forget things easily. (I'm a person with short term memory loss)

I like audio recording some of my lectures while I hand write notes. Helps me when I need to remember something said in the lecture & the context of the topic after the lecture.

I just cut the middle man. I write my notes on my IPad using an app called GoodNotes. You can make separate journals for easy organization and I can access them from anywhere

I type because I have issues with my fine motor skills. This just means that my hand isn’t built for holding small things or even holding much well. My hands hurt after only a minute of writing and no matter what way I hold the pencil, it hurts. I’m somehow a god at typing despite the issues with my hands and this helps me every single day.
