Main reason why most people leave Canada : No value of your education and your experience. Even if you were master of your profession back home and lead a satisfying life, here you are a McDonalds worker/ or Tim hortons/ Or Factory Worker.

If you are skilled, it is better to invest your energy/time in you own country rather than doing odds jobs in canada

I know many friends leaving Canada over a period of 5 years. I personally don’t feel that it is worth moving to Canada from your place.

I lived 15 years in Canada, and its not for everyone. Life is very robotic; quite simply, you live to work. The cost of living is also very high. To have a decent living in Canada, your family income should be around $150, 000, otherwise its pretty much a struggle. Also, there is a clear lack of social life since everyone is in the race to make money through multiple jobs to make ends meet. Finally, the weather, don't get me started on that. I can go on and on but I guess i'll stop here.

You make it sound as though choosing to stay in Canada is a benchmark of success and hardwork. I think people should be wherever they are the happiest because thats what matters the most in the end.

Great to know that finally people are speaking the truth. As somebody living 10+ years in Alberta, it is unfortunate but Canada is only good for people coming from war torn countries. Those who have stable jobs in their own countries, may fall in a financial trap here and have a worse live. Politicians, especially liberals, encourage immigration because it means more votes and more power for them.

If all jobs are offshored overseas, what kind of jobs you expect to find in Canada?!!! Even Canadians themselves are struggling!!!

.Live indoors from November to May and dark at 5pm.
Long cold winters and high taxes and expensive rents.

It's the 2nd largest country with only 35 million people for a reason.

The thumb line is “there is no red carpet available anywhere in the world, be it Canada, UK, US or Australia “ so be prepared first and clear your mindset and plan first... then take any step to leave your existing well settled job . Which require a lot of thinking, planning and effort also.

As a white guy born in Canada, I will guarantee you that the vast majority of people born here have to start at the bottom. My family is not poor, but as a kid, I delivered newspapers door to door. I have done a number of physical labour jobs, including cleaning tables at restaurants and harvesting tobacco. University in Canada is not easy, you have to work hard for 4 years, even if you are fluent. Working for the government, or a private business here is unpleasant, with heavy workloads, and unpaid overtime. Even rich Canadians do not have servants, they clean and cook for themselves. We benefit from having a high-value dollar, which helps. You buy a house or a car by borrowing the money. Canada has the highest personal debt level in the western world. We are like ducks. Calm on the surface, but paddling like crazy under the surface.

I did not have anything to lose in my former country and I got everything in Canada, if I thought about coming back to my former country just for some comfort I would never do it.

So some anecdotal experience from a Canadian born and raised. My parents immigrated to Canada from the UK, and with their heritage and similar education system my parents flourished in Canada. I grew up in Brampton, a large community on the outskirts of Toronto and my community in Brampton is almost completely south asian now with the majority of people in my neighbourhood being Punjabi. Many of my friends growing up were of Punjabi heritage and I could see their parents, not all but a good chunk of them, working menial jobs when they may have been qualified to do more. They worked hard, bought their houses, paid for their children's education and lead an overall successful and productive life....but the bigger picture is the success of the 2nd generation, the children who were raised in Canada. I'm in my early 40's now and almost everyone I know who came from an immigrant family is handsomely successful. The work ethic instilled from their parents will guarantee success in Canada. Most of the people I still keep in touch with are making over 6 figure salaries or they own their own business and are making even crazier amounts of money. When I go back to Brampton to visit my parents I'm amazed to see the number of successful small businesses that have turned into local chains. I'm seeing the younger generation driving nice cars and buying nice you come to Canada thinking you will get the red carpet treatment as an immigrant, it will likely not be there for you. If you come here prepared to work and instill that work ethic into your kids, they can be successful beyond your wildest dreams. Do it for your kids if for nothing else.

I agree. All have to restart their lives. Many regretted because of hardship that each have to go through to. Find a job is challenging because requires Canadian education and qualifications.
