I have watched all 5 parts. This is unbelievable that any car lot an get away with this? The car lot owner must be a real douche bag!! An offer was made to pay for half the used engine then he went back on it? Then to offer to let him have the chance to have his shop fix it? Then to offer him the chance to buy the car back? After all that he still didn't make it right!!!! Why is this guy not in jail???? You have been much more fair and nice about this than i would be!!!! I will repost this and encourage everyone i know to do the same. i hope it helps you out! I hope the guy comes threw although with how many different offers you made i do not see the thief doing anything but keep on screwing people! GOOD LUCK!!!

I wonder, did the buyer of this car review his bill of sale or whatever purchase agreement? Did it, in writting, state that the car was under warranty? If so, did it, in writting specify which party would be financially responsible for the repair?

New cars, due to various laws and regulations, have what is known as a lemon law because any new product have an warranties that are implied that the product will do what it is intended to do, like a radio will play music, a battery will provide power, a car will run and drive.

Old cars however can be disclaimed of any warranties, meaning that if the car was purchased as-is, the buyer just purchased a 3, 500 lb paperweight. If it happens to be able to run and drive and pass safety inspection, pass emissions inspections, etc, that's great, but if it doesn't pass any inspections or drive or even start, the buyer stiil has the paperweight that he bought.

It all boils down to the paperwork, did it, in writting specify a warranty or any guarantees?

JOHN DAVIS must work for this lot. did you bother to watch all of the videos? the car lot openly said the rigged up the car then offered to pay for the engine. then took back what they agreed to. did you bother to see the letters from the state? no record of any business by that name with the bbb but yet the bbb has over 100 complaints against them?? sounds shady. why do they advertise as private owners but then have a car lot at a house????

Dude it doesn't matter where I buy a car at I always look over and test drive the car before buying it. You sound like you know about cars you should have at least known the brakes where bad just by looking at them. Sounds to me like you screwed yourself on this one yo !

Where's the Honda quality?  Sorry you got taken for your money, but if someone tells me it's Honda quality, I laugh and walk away.  Good for you to fix it up nice for your kid, it wasn't cheap but it's the right thing to do.  Just sorry you had to put a lot more money into it to make it road worthy.  But, it's better than seeing the wheel come off.  I've seen lots of Honda's with wheels that come off... not because Honda is crap, but because people think they are invincible and don't need maintenance.  Sorry, but there's some truth to the saying Honda Hype.
