Hitler's Socialism | Destroying the Denialist Counter Arguments

"I am a socialist.” - Hitler, from his "Zweites Buch" (Second Book) Page 50.

Some continue to believe that Hitler and National Socialism wasn't REAL (National) Socialism. Some believe that the totalitarian State of the Third Reich had no power at all, and that the market was 'free'. They want to believe that Hitler and his State had NO control over the economy, and that the ideology of National Socialism didn't call for the creation of a 'People's State' after the conquest of Lebensraum. Yes, 80 years after the events in question, many are still pushing a contradictory narrative that directly goes against the colossal amount of evidence pointing towards the opposite conclusion, and then refuse to even consider the possibility that they might be wrong in their interpretation. Well today, we will walk through numerous primary and secondary sources, show the substantial amount of flaws in the denialist argument, and present a solid interpretation of the evidence that makes much more sense than the denialist argument ever has.

I am NOT a Fascist, NOT a National Socialist, and NOT a Marxist Socialist. And I am NOT promoting said ideologies. This video is discussing events or concepts that are academic, educational and historical in nature. This video is for informational purposes and was created so we may better understand the past and learn from the mistakes others have made.

This disturbs me because this view of Hitler makes much more sense than the traditional narrative.

I wouldn't have believed your conclusion if I didn't hear the argument. I wouldn't have believed that I could be made to believe it. But now I do.

A few years ago, I came to the conclusion that Hitler's ideology was a left wing ideology. I had heard Jordan Peterson repeatedly claim Hitler's Fascism to be right wing; this prompted an intuitive push-back from me. That was when I took the counter position. A few years later, after listening to Dan Carlin's take on the subject, I stood ready to modify my thoughts on the subject. Revising, rethinking, reappraising... then I heard your 30 minute take on the issue, leading me to this presentation. thank you, sir.

Yes it all makes sense to me. I used to be a Marxist, then I really looked into Marx, how racist he was and how he wanted to destroy everything etc. Hitler was evil but so was Marx.

I love how even Lenin used the "it wasn't real socialism" argument

The thing I love about this video is that this is a 5 hour evidence rich documentary on the clear and overwhelming evidence of hitler being a RACIAL socialist. Meanwhile if you look up "Was hitler a socialist" you just get a bunch of left-wing talking heads saying he wasn't a socialist in small 20 minute videos just proving he wasn't MARXIST. Of course that just might be my results when searching, but seriously TIK, I come back to this video many times and every time it impresses me with the amount of amazing detail and facts you bring to the table, all clearly talking about hitler's socialism, whilst also being clear he was NOT Marxist.

It never occurs to me, how it came so far, that historians like TIK have to explain, that understanding and explaining evil worldviews is not the same as agreeing to them. The older I get the more I get the impression that many people do not want to know, so that they can indulge in their dark desires again, without being conscience stricken.

From now on, when we are told Hitler was 'right wing, ' we need to ask 'exactly how?'

it's very simple... national socialists and the 2 writers of fascismo were Hegelian socialists... Marx was also a young Hegelian. Hegels philosophy of right goes as follows, "the state owns supreme right of the individual, who's supreme duty is to be a member of the state"... the Nazis were elected in 1932, in 1933 abolished article 153 of the weimar constitution that guaranteed private property rights (capitalism)... thus solidifying the fact that they were Hegelian socialists.

People misunderstand this video. Hitler was a socialist in the original sense of the word, not a socialist in the Marxist sense of the word. If more people watched the video instead reading the title and getting mad, I think they would agree with you.

When the Nazis took over Austria, the Austrian socialist party was the first to greet them.

Man, I'm from Brazil and here in these lands we're passing through a moment of extreme political polarization. So a lot of meanings that in past were clearly to us today have become dirty by the political's vision of which one. Everything is tainted by a personal's others beliefs. That's why works like yours are so important, not just for your regular viewers, but also people that are far way from the origin point of the information.
Thank you (really) for what you are doing, telling the humanity history with one impartial point of view.
