For question 8 wouldn't M1 x M2 = M^2 and not 2M?

Not sure it matters too much anymore, but the reason the 4 gets cancelled out in question 9 is because the distance between the surfaces is 2R, as the satellite is R above the planet. When you square 2 you get 4, cancelling out the other 4.

Hey, how did you find PHYA4? The six marker was the same question as the investigation from my ISA so that was great. Good paper for me. Do you know if there is any synoptic content from S1 in S2? I do Edexcel S2 in further maths and AQA S1 in core so I'm just wondering if there is anything I should know from Edexcel S1?
