The simphony of this V10 is unique. The upshift and downshift are incredible. I just love it, I wish BMW makes similiar engine sounds these days

15 years old and no turbos, that's amazing. Imagine what en e63 m6 would run with a modern DCT, it would be in higher 7's with ease

God how much I love S65/S85 engine... Can't miss the distinct sound on high revs... Love the V10 sound especially, but they managed to get some harmonics similar to that on S65 too

It's not the rod bearings that were faulty, it's the people driving them. The engine sounds and feels so good above 6k rpm, people drive at that engine speed all the time. Not many other cars are subjected to that, because they don't inspire it like this car does. It's actually amazing that BMW could warranty a 8300rpm V10 knowing Joe Blow would get in it and immediately ring it's neck over and over.

This thing brings a whole different meaning to "brutal". It screams like it's mad at the world. The fact that it has a SMG (that everyone hates) gives it that much more character. Remember people, we will probably never have cars like this in the future. Everything has a turbo with a perfect powerband and the fastest shifting transmissions and perfect perfect perfect...and now electric too... Sometimes a screaming V10 with a brutal transmission is all you need to disconnect and have a blast.

For me it looks like V10 BMW has better top end acceleration than modern twin-turbo V8 despite having less power.

My younger brother had the e60 m5 and it was absolutely amazing and what a noise through it’s eisenmann system 😮, it was his pride and joy until it was hit from the rear drivers side (rhd). It was repaired but was never the same sometimes not even starting for some reason so it was sold regrettably he admits. Anyway cool video man enjoyed that, the m6 is gorgeous 👌.cheers
