The card "connect with past loved ones" I would maybe see as the ones that passed in our live time, the ancestors we actually knew in life... compared to connecting with all our ancestors "know and unknown..." but that’s just me maybe😁😅 I do get your point tho!

hiii would love to get ur guidance plssss, would you recommend angels and ancestors or ancestors spirit? I’m torn between them or neither? there was a review about angels and ancestors that the guide book description isnt really true about the cultures origions in relation to the and for this deck ancestors spirit i feel its a little beginner maybe not so deep or am i mistaken?my fav deck is mystical shaman i think its amazing and im looking to get another deck to work with along side the mystical shaman i will get an animal oracle deck and thought an ancestor deck would be helpful also but if you can recommend from ur knowlage and experience i would very very highly appreciate it

Thank you, Kelly for another great deck review. I am conflicted . The images are beautiful and the back is soo beauotful but when i think about it, the deck it self is exclusive and really caters to mostly popularized cultures such as Vking, Asian and Indian American . This is an Ancestor Spirit deck and yet, there are no card reprenting Middle Eastern/ Arab region or even nomad bedwins (those who lived in tge desert) . yes, am bias since i am half Arab :P . Putting Middle East to the side, i was truly surpised there was no refernece to Babolynia or Mesopotamia. there is a lot of redunancy and not enough unique represntation .

Gitano is the spanish word for gypsy so I think the creator is focus on that part of the romani people that lives in south Spain and were creator of flamenco dance. For us gypsies means gitanos but we know they speak romani language. Her in Argentina they referred to themselves as gitanos but in other parts they called themselves romani

Thanks for this, I do think that the word Gitano or Gipsy it's problematic whatsoever. Being proudly of Gipsy inheritance myself I can happily say that is not the words that are inappropriate but the way we use them. I can say someone it's a "lady" and making it sound as an insult. It would be great if we could change the animosity instead of the words themselves, it would be way more compassionate.

Gitano (pronounced “hee-TA-no”) is the Spanish word for gypsy. But as far as I know is also used to refer to people who steal and cheat, etc. If we were to refer to the people I think we would say Romaní. A few years ago the Real Academia Española (a Spanish institution dedicated to preserve the -Castilian- Spanish language) was accused of including the word “gitano” in their dictionary precisely with the meaning of thief, trickster and dirty. It caused a lot of controversy and I believe they took it down. Still... I’m with you that they should have used another word for that.


As for Día de Muertos, though it does go back to the native people from Tenochtitlan, the feast was popularized in times of the Colony in fact, as a way to “christianize” their celebrations. But it remains a very traditional day. :)
