Putin's new provocation? Redrawing Baltic Sea borders.

Two separate incidents involving Russia’s borders with Baltic states put the region on alert in recent days. The first was a draft document revising existing maritime borders with Finland, Lithuania and Estonia that was published without notice and then quickly deleted. A few days later, the Russia Estonia border was technically altered when buoys were moved by the Russians on the river Narva.

Russia uses such hybrid warfare tactics to test the West, and events like this - when Putin attempts to redraw the Baltic Sea borders - show the tension points between Russia and its NATO member states.

Our expert, Marek Menkiszak, talks about Russia’s aims in these actions (such as attempting to move Estonia’s border) and how these events relate to the ongoing war in Ukraine and Russia’s war with the West.

They are also trying to scare simple people. And ive heard that some are panicking in Lithuania. Lets not shake, lets breathe deep, slow and think what is really happening. Do not tremble, lets stand our ground with chests up :)

Putin's recent actions suggest a new provocation aimed at redrawing borders in the Baltic region. The key events are:

Russia published a draft document proposing to revise its maritime borders with Finland, Lithuania, and Estonia in the Baltic Sea, but quickly deleted it without explanation.
This alarmed NATO allies as an attempt to unilaterally redraw borders.

A few days later, Russian border guards removed over 20 navigation buoys from the Narva River, which forms part of the Estonia-Russia border.
Estonia condemned this as a "border incident" aimed at sowing insecurity.

The removal of the buoys technically altered the Estonia-Russia border, as they are used to prevent ships from straying into foreign waters.
This incident is seen as part of a broader pattern of Russian provocations and hybrid actions targeting its Baltic borders.

The EU and NATO allies like France and Germany have expressed solidarity with Estonia, Finland, and Lithuania, condemning Russia's "unacceptable aggressive behavior" and vowing to monitor the situation closely.

This "so calm" narrator carefully avoided to mention the dramatical change about the geo-political situation around to the Baltic Sea, due to the loss of neutrality of the involved nations. Really was it so hard to say that, as per US orders, Russia suddenly become a potential threat?

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, a rival of RuZZian Patriarch Kirill, signed an agreement with the Lithuanian government to establish a presence in their country. It's to challenge the presence of the RuZZian Orthodox Church in Lithuania.
