Lauri Markkanen Trade Rumor: Player holding up Warriors trade revealed?

The Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz trade rumors have been going on and on and today we had more news come out involving Lauri Markkanen and who might be involved with a Utah Jazz - Golden State Warriors trade. It also doesn't look like it's Jonathan Kuminga and all the rumors surrounding him.

I don’t think that anything has changed from Ainge’s original comments. Utah would need to be blown away, by a godfather offer. Imho, Golden State simply does not have the ammo for that. With that being said, Lauri loves Utah. Utah loves Lauri. He’s not prohibitively old for the new timeline. And he’s freakin awesome.
So, I’m fine either way, as long as the return is actually excellent. If it’s middling, it’s just a mistake, as they can easily tank with Lauri, and finding players like him (especially for Utah) is very hard.

I hate the idea of trading Markkanen for a 14% chance at Cooper Flagg. They can bottom out without trading Markkanen anyway. If anything, trade Sexton and Clarkson and play the young guards instead.

I am torn about trading Markkanen but if they do, I think Podz needs to be in the trade. I do not think the Jazz will ever have the number one pick because the NBA only wants certain teams to reach that spot and draft those players like Cooper Flag. Look what happened to Detroit for 3 years now. Worst record and ended up drafting 5th all 3 years. The Jazz was pushed back from 8 to 10 this past draft. This draft lottery is rigged for those certain teams so they are in a position to draft those players. The draft lottery should be thrown out and just go with record like before. Then what will you do with Jordan Clarkson and Collins?

Lets be honest. The NBA is not going to let the Utah Jazz have Flagg it is a small market therefore they will do whatever is necessary for a big market (Spurs) to get the number 1 pick. They might aswell keep Lauri and try and get lucky in the draft.

Yes unfortunately BP will need to be in there. Warriors dont want to give up Kuminga and if the Jazz did get him most likely he will need a 200+mil contract extension.

Warriors not trading for Lauri because of Podz? 🤯 Look I feel the kid was a steal in the draft and as a rookie he's on a better trajectory than Kuminga but Steph NEEDS HELP NOW. I'm hoping they can throw in Wiggins, Looney and GP2 to get Walker Kessler as well. Warriors better don't waste Steph's prime by not pulling the trigger for Lauri. Steph made this organisation billions they should do right by him and besides Lauri is only 27 so they'd still have a building block for when Steph retires. Let's go Mike get it done already.😤😤😤😤

Sarah Todd came out and said the Jazz are not dangling Lauri, other teams and making offers. This makes me think the Jazz are not trying to trade him, it’s NBA rumors from teams who want him.

The dubs would be insane to mortgage their future even for a star like Markannan. Why? Because it’s over for the dubs, and even he wouldn’t move the needle very much. Also, there will likely be a team that can make a better offer to the Jazz.
