Mathematician spotlight: Lila Fontes

We do an example of how to find the sum of three people's numbers without anyone divulging their number. (The algorithm had an error when we did it, which a student pointed out immediately after.) We explain single, double, and triple integrals, and why you might want to use them. We then explain scalar line integrals, vector line integrals, scalar surface integrals, and vector surface integrals, and why you might want to use them. Finally, we say how the three big theorems of the end of the course (Green's, Stokes', Gauss's/Divergence) connect these types of integrals.

Professor Diana Davis, thank you for a tremendous analysis and massive Summary of Multivariable Calculus. I watch and take notes on all forty video/lectures in Multivariable Calculus and this is a massive amount of material times two for all students to absorb. The knowledge gain in this class can only help students worldwide in Science and Engineering.

Thank you very much for these nice lectures I could learn multivariable calculus all by myself during this Corona virus lockdown period (#productivity)
