Hey Knathan I really enjoy your channel. Their are two detents on Emersons. It's supossed to even out the pressure on the blade, and the reason for the flat head and phillips head screws is that out in the field you're more likely to have access to tools than torx.

Don’t know for sure but if i’d had to guess why they used flat and Phillips hardware l’d say it’s for in the field disassembly

It's called Ti-lock. The way the titanium lockbar is ground and pressing against the stainless blade causes it to stick.

Awesome as always but I always wonder what you do with the extra material you cutoff for the handle materials cause it'll be cool if you could do a Mashup of the materials to make some scales

With these knives if you get any lube at all on the lockbar it will cause terrible lock stick. You have to take apart and clean the surface of the lockup face with alcohol. I made that mistake when I first got a Mini Commander.

Not a huge fan of Emerson. Lock stick can b remedied with white stick deodorant. Some people use graphite like pencil lead. Others use sharpie. I think the white stick works the best. I tested a bunch a diff things I though of and it’s my fav
