Ozark Season 4 is the final one of the Netflix series. Marty was abducted and tortured by the drug kingpin himself, Omar Navarro, who isn't done with his star accountant and Wendy just yet. Meanwhile, the Byrde matriarch was forced to do the unthinkable and order a hit on her own brother Ben to save their family from being slaughtered by the cartel. Ozark is an American crime drama streaming television series created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams for Netflix and produced by MRC. The series stars Jason Bateman and Laura Linney as Marty and Wendy Byrde, a married couple who relocate their family to the Lake of the Ozarks for money laundering. Bateman also serves as a director and executive producer for the series.

After that ending, I can't wait to see what happens in Ozark Season 4 Part 2. But Part 1 is a great start to this final season building on the established tension in a masterful way.

With all the times Jonah has said to Charlotte “Can you imagine killing me?” I think it’s foreshadowing that he will somehow (indirectly) get her killed

Julia Garner's performance in that scene gives me chills every time. Even just seeing stills of it. She completely transformed. Incredible.

One of the best shows ever on Netflix! There are only a very few shows which I rewatch but have done that for Ozark 1, 2, 3 and I just restarted 4 (Part 1) The storyline and acting performances are A+ especially by Julia Garner. Hoping that Part 2 delivers a stunning ending. It would interesting to see if Ruth gets her quarry (JavI) instead of her getting killed (a nice, unexpected twist). Opening scene - are they all dead or who survived? Seems like an unexpected end if none survive.

I'm really asking myself at this point what I want to happen to the Byrdes. I felt similarly with The Shield. As the show approached the end, part of me hoped that Vic would be able to get away with everything, but be exiled somehow. In the last season, though, I started to think that no, Vic definitely needs to pay a heavy price. I'm similarly conflicted with Ozark. Part of me wants to see the Byrdes be able to ride off into the sunset, but another thinks about all of the damage they have caused. I honestly don't know, but I'm very excited to see how it all wraps up.

I agree. One thought that I have about the "accident" is that Ruth or Frank Jr/KC Mob is behind it because that truck looked like it was coming FOR them not at them.

Wendy doesn't know when to back off, she's too smart for her own good. Her machinations cause more problems than they do solutions but I don't think she'll die. One of her schemes is probably going to cause some real damage to her family and she'll have to live with that.

Ruth is in terminator mode, nothing will stop her quest for vengeance. I think she'll kill Javi but she may die in the process.

Jonah will suffer the consequences of his mother's actions but he'll survive. Charlotte is vulnerable and will probably be killed.

Wendy won't remain in the Byrd clan, Marty will leave her. Zeke will be taken in by Marty and Jonah.

That's about all I have guesses about.

God o love this show. I think that Marty is the most passive aggressions character in history (and I love it) like when he gets hurt at the drug deal and Wendy asks him what happened and he’s just like we got the deal done

Ozark is not another Sopranos, but its very good, and I'm glad that the pandemic is not brought into the storyline. I wonder if Ruth will find out that Wendy reported Darlene to Family Services, and indirectly contributed to Wyatt's death, as he married Darlene to help secure Darlene's custody of baby Zeke.

I really wish that Ozark delivers without any drop in quality in the last season part 2. Since so much talent and continued effort to pull off consistent quality material till season 4 part 1 last episode was there, I think they would give a satisfying closure to the series.

I can’t wait for the conclusion part two! This show has been amazing and Julia Garner, Laura Linney and Jason Bateman have been excellent, the two woman really turned their characters into something else, I can’t wait for the season finale!

When Ozark closes part 2 of the final season, I believe it will be on par with Breaking Bad, The Wire, etc (aka the GOATs of TV shows).

Game of Thrones did everything wrong with Daenerys Stormborn's character flipping to the dark side, while Ozark's Wendy Byrd put on a masterclass in character evolution.

I love a great anti-hero / bad guy. With this type of show, then is everything; however, I for once have faith it will be done brilliantly.

Will the end match The Shield's Vic Mackey's win that = a loss, or will it be a happy death like Walter White's???

I have faith this show will end as well as any other great show with a great ending. They're gonna nail S04 part 2 episodes 8-14.

If Ozark sticks the landing, it'll be in my top 5 all-time, and maybe even top 3. Time will tell.
