When the G87 M2 debuted, the exterior design was certainly polarizing with as many detractors as supporters. Thankfully after the car launched and customers started receiving their deliveries, it seemed to get much more positive reviews; however there are a couple sticking points that do appear to be a bit of a miss on BMW's part.

The rear PDC sensor insert found in the rear bumper also incorporates red reflectors. So in a small area, you have the color of the car, the gloss black insert, and the bright red reflectors. It's certainly a bit too busy, but luckily IND provides rear reflector inserts in gloss black to clean up your car's backside!

In this DIY, we'll cover the easy process of removing the rear PDC gloss black housings, replacing the red reflectors with a gloss black insert that perfectly matches the housing, and reinstalling everything.

It looks much better! I always felt like a color matched piece would look good going across the center of the bumper to get rid of the abrupt dips on the sides. It would have to sit at the top of the diffuser though where the fins are so I don't think it would work unfortunately

Just vinyl wrap it. Way easier and cheaper. Looks exactly the same

Much better, but in Germany it is not allowed by law to remove the reflectors. 😞

Turning something functional into a big black plug blob - that’s a big no for me dawg
