1st things first, thanks Jeff for opening up this branch of music aka Funk/Soul! I stumbled over Scary Pockets only 2-3 weeks ago but MAN I was lost form the 1st vid I saw... THIS!!!
I never heard of Judith Hill but she sang backing voc at Princes stuff. She really is more than skilled for the front row - that PHRASING killed me + her raunchy voice... KILLER!

Scary Pockets catalogue is packed with funkafied classics --> "Dreams" Fleetwood Mac with Elise Trouw OMG ;-) To me they are the new Funk Brothers from Motown records back in the days, rock solid grooves and prime arrangements - the perfect platform for many singers.

‘Awesome to see you dive into Scary Pockets, man! They also did another track with Judith and it’s this incredibly fresh, unique cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. I’d love for you to check that one out in the future.
